Reunion
 
 

     The next morning, Ryu was already up, and had filled in Teepo, who was ready as well. Nina was in the shower getting ready, while Rei and Momo were still asleep. Peco, who's always asleep, was ready too.

     "How long do those two sleep?" Says Teepo groaning.

     "They always sleep late after they... you know." Ryu smiles, and goes to Rei's room and opens the door. Neither are there. He then goes to Momo's room. Both are still asleep.

     "Hey guys, get up." Ryu thumps on the door a few times.

     Rei groans, and waves his hand at him. "Go away, still sleep..."

     "C'mon, there's something important we need to do. Get up." Thumps on the door again.

     Momo yawns, and peeks over the covers. "Why? It's still early. We didn't go to bed till real late last night." She drifts off to sleep again.

     Ryu stands silent for a minute. "Ladon summoned me last night."

     Rei sits up his eyes barely open, his hair and fur a mess. "He did, why?"

     "I don't know, but I have a feeling not just to say hi. Get up, we need to go soon." Ryu goes in the room, and tugs the bed spread off, just the sheet covers them.

     Rei sighs, grabs his pants and puts them on somewhat aggrivated. "Alright, I'm up already. Would ya get out now?"

     "Thanks guys. We'll be out here." He exits and closes the door. Rei stands, while Momo still lays there still asleep.

     "Hey, if I don't get to sleep, neither do you." Tickles her cheek with his tail, causing her cringe and wake up.

     "What... oh, good morning." She smiles, and wipes her eyes.

     "Ryu said Ladon summoned him last night, so I got a feeling we're going to Dragnier." He puts Momo's clothes next to her.

     "Oh goody, the desert. I hate hot." She sits up and begins to dress herself.

     "At least you ain't covered with fur." Rei digs in the closet, and finds Momo's gear. "Oh... then this is your room." Exits and gets his stuff from his room.

     "Oh... so we are." She smiles, and finishes dressing. Figuring she took a shower last night, and so did Rei, neither of them needed one. She takes her gear, and gets ready. Not too bad for being awake for only ten minutes.

     Soon Rei re-enters with a smile. "I almost forgot... Good morning." Gives her a big hug and a soft kiss.

     She returns each one with a smile. "Good morning furface."

     "You guys ready yet?" Nina exits the bathroom and stands in the doorway, fresh and clean. "Ryu had to get you up didn't he?"

     Both unwillingly admit he did. "Can we go now?" Rei with his usual hand on side, scratch the back of his head stance.

     "If you two would quit messing around late nights, you might be on time for once." Teepo says with a cocky grin.

     "Wait till you find a girl. Trust me." Rei says with his own cocky grin. "Can we go already? We'll spend another day here before we go at this rate."

     "Puki puki..." Peco hops out ready to go.

     Momo smiles. "See, even Mr. Onion is ready."

     All stare at her silently. "Mr... Onion... Rei musta really wore you out huh?" Teepo comments as he exits the house. All follow, Honey perched up on Momo's shoulder. All until one comment arises.

     "What about Garr?" Everyone stops and looks to Nina. "I mean, he's still our friend. Let's go and see if he wants to come along."

     "She's right. Without Garr we probably wouldn't have gone as far as we did." Ryu comments. "To Urkan Tapa."

     "No arguement here. I kinda want to see the big guy again, see how he's doin'." Rei adds in, while Momo grabs onto his hand. The group, on a mission to the other side of the world, again. Ryu and Nina, hand in hand, as well as Momo and Rei. Teepo, as always, alone, with Peco not far behind.
 
 

     After about a day's travel they reach Mount Zublo. Hey's it a long way. Momo about ready to collapse.

     "I can't take it, let's stop here." Se immediatly flops down, and sighs.

     "No arguments here." Teepo grunts out, climbs and sits up in a nearby tree. Rei sits and Momo rests against him, nearly asleep.

     Ryu and Nina already have a fire going. "Hey Rei, you got the tent?"

     "Yeah, but can't we take a breather before we lug it up?" He gets the tent from his pack.

     "I don't see why not." Ryu sits and uses his Dragon Blade to enlarge the fire. Nina rests against him, nearly asleep. She always was the weakest one, physically. She always resented that. It took her a while to realize... why didn't mind Ryu protecting her. After all, it was one of the reasons for them admitting their love.

     "Yo, dragonboy, you gonna help or not?" Rei has already started putting up the tent. Ryu gently slides Nina off his lap, not waking her and sets up the tent. "Just like the old days, yeah?"

     "You bet." He then turns to looks to Mount Zublo. "You know, I'm gonna go visit Deis. It's been a while since I've seen her. I'll be back in a little bit." Ryu heads off towards Mount Zublo.

     He enters the small cave and approaches the engraved wall. He places his hand on the wall, and is absorbed into it. As he walks into the room, he notes something.... no one's here. Deis isn't in her spot, and an eerie silence flows through the area. With an odd feeling, he exits, and looks back upon the engraved wall. "Deis.... something's wrong... something, is seriously wrong." He returns to the camp with the same expression as when he left. Tomorrow, they got to go and see their friend, but Ryu never stopped thinking about Deis. Where was she, and was she alright?
 
 

     The next day, was cool. They were all pleased, for if they were able to get to Dragnier quick enough, the heat might surpass them. They packed up their things, and used the road around Mount Zublo. Only Ryu though about Deis, for he didn't want to worry the others.

     They had now reached the Urkan Region and continued on to Urkan Tapa. The town was the same, nothing different at all. They all split up looking for Garr. Nina found him with Hondura.

     "Garr!" She smiled and waved at him. Garr stood, and smiled himself and went to greet her.

     "Ah, good day princess. What brings you here?"

     Nina's smile faltered some. "Well, the other night, Ladon summ-" Garr held her mouth, and walked outside with her.

     "Please, don't mention his name here. Let us find the others, and talk this matter over." Nina nodded and gathered everyone up. They all took a little walk on the outskirts of Urkan Tapa. They all visited for a little and talked about events up to this point. Then Nina continued her story.

     "Now, as I was saying. Ladon summoned Ryu the other night. So, for what can be expected, we're all going to meet with him, and I kinda mentioned your name, and we all wanted to know if you'd like to come along."

     Garr though long and silently before coming up with his answer. "Why not? It's been a long time since I've last seen some action in the world."

     "Alright. Welcome back big guy." Rei gives a friendly punch to his arm, and Garr returns it.... sending Rei tumbling away.

     "Oops... it's sad.... even I forget how strong I am at times." Rei shook away the cobwebs and stood up.

     "I'll never do that again." Begins to dust himself off. "You still got all your gear?"

     "Of course. What's a Guardian without his armory?" Garr went back to Urkan Tapa, gathered his things, and returned. "I always thought a life of peace would be nice. But I realized, there can be no peace without fighting. However, peace isn't always fun. No danger, no action. That's where I come in." He gets a large grin, and is back with his friends to partake in a journey all to similar to their previous.
