The Burning Land :  Chapter 1
 
 

Hix arrived ten minutes late to his new work, as a leader of the new country. Alen whas there to help him, and he didnt look very happy. When Hix entered the room, he stood up from the chair he sat on.
”Your Majesty! Alen said as he bowed.
Hix looked stranged at him. ”Dont do that, please Alen. I´m still Hix, you know.”
“I know, but you are also my emperor.” Alen said. He whas still angry because of hix late arrival, and he didnt plan to do a thing that Hix wanted.
“Please, Alen, “ Hix said, “Can`t you just scream at me like you used to do in the Liberation Army? Or just hit me?”
Alen raised his left eyebrown. “If that is what you want, emperor Hix, that is what I shall do. Did you say just as I did in the Liberatin Army?” Alen started a small smile. 30 minutes later, Hix stappled out from his room. He didnt feel quite well, after Alens little speach. He walked down the stairs in Leeknat´s tower, wich served as an improved castle while the reparations of Gregminister hadnt gone so far. Now, there were even planes on building a new capital, with its base in Kaku and the Toran Castle as the gouverment center. There were even big planes about a giant bridge over from Kaku to Toran Castle. Hix had shaked his hed at all these dreams. When he reached the bottom floor, he met Cleo and Phan. They were on their way to go out on a hunting trip. Hix asked if he could join them, and Cleo reached him a bow. Hix looked confused at the weapon.
“You cant hunt with that.” Cleo said as a respond to Hix´s look, and pointed at his sword that hanged down his left side. He smiled and then ran away to his room, four stairs up. There he change clothes and laid the sword in the clauset. Then he ran down again.
“Whattime it took.” Phan groumbled “If we are going to catch Killer Rabbits, we are going to hurry before they wake up and defend themselves.” Then he ran away. Cleo wasnt late folowing him. Hix, who whas still tired from running in the stairs, waited a few seconds, then he sat of and shouted “Hey, wait for me! Cleo! Pahn! Wait!”
