In Midgar Slums, a boy lived. He had no friends, since he in all their games allways ended up hurting someone. His parents were vansihed, and they would not return, that the child new. The childs name was, Sephiroth.

((This Fanfic take place in Midgar, just as Shinra starts to build the upper level. Sephiroth is still a child, and Cloud and the others doesnt exit yet. Sephiroth knows nothing about wre he comes from, or who he is. he tinkh hes jut another orphan. He knows that he has powers, but he doesnt know were or why he got them. Rufus is still just a baby, and President Shinra a young vital man. Mako is being used, but not much since it is still very new. SOLDIER exists, and is a high-respected force that only the best can advance to. Gold Saucer isnt finished yet, and Zack is newborn.

Another day came, and Sephioth, that had spended the night under a train in the Railway Baneyard, slowly crawled out in the light. The first thing he saw was the great pillar that were supposed to hold the "upper level" from falling down, crushing all the people. The "upper level" were not yet finished, in some parts of Midgar, it were, but not here. Sephiroth stood up, looking up on the pillar.

"What fun it would be to climb up there" He thought.
"Yeah, thats what Im going to do today. Im going to climb it."

Since sephiroth almost never eat, he walked to the pillar emideatilly.
As he reahced the pillar, saw that there was a stair up to the top.

"Oh, this is no fun. Climbing a stair, anyone can do that." Sephiroth thought, as he walked backwards to see more of the pillar.

Then, he saw something dingeling up there. He put his hands over his eyes to see clearer. It was a rope! The day was saved. He could go up the pillar without using the stairs. But how would he get the rope down? He looked around, and found that he had to throw something on the rope. Fopr a normal child, their projectil wouldnt even go half the pillar, but Sephiroth already knewed that he wasnt normal. But what if Shinra had security guards up there? They would throw him down again. Okay, he was strong, but he didnt know if he could match with SOLDIER`s. He needed a weapon. But what should he use? Materia, perhaps. But were on earth should he get Materia? In the Materia Shop off course! He could always steal a Lightning Materia or a Fire Materia. But, when to think of it, he had tried to steal Materia before. He needed a real weapon. He ran to the Train Baneyard to look for something.
He opened the door to an old train, and went inside. There were dust and spiders everywere.

"Whats that?" Sephiroth saw something and walked slowly to the object. One of the chairs were broken. A long steal pipe lied on the floor. This was perfect to fight with! Sephiroth grabed it, and swinged it in the air. He could use this. Then, when the turned around to go out, he felt pain in his leg. he looked down. A sharp piece of metall had riped a big hole in his pants, and his leg was bleeding.

"Oh, dammit! Now I have to get something to make a bandage of." He bended down and picked up the piece of metall. It was sharp, like sword.

"Hey, this one is even better than this one" He looked at the pipe and the sharp piece of metall. Then he throwed the pipe away. The pain in his leg was already gone, and it had stopped bleading.

"Couldnt have been such a big wound..." Sephiroth thought as he walked towards the pillar.
When he reached it, he grabbed another piece of metall. It almost looked like a boomerang.

"Here goes nothing" He tought as he throwed the boomerang-shaped object up in the air, aiming for the rope.
The object made sweeping, and flew away from the rope.

"Dammit! The rope, you stupid object, the rope!" Sephiroth shouted. Then, three kids came going towards him.

"Hey, look guys. Its Seph." One of them said. The other two laughed .
"What do you thik he`s up to?"

Sephiroth turned to them.
"Im going to climb the pillar, so now you know."

The three kids starte laughing.
"Climb the pillar? Are you insane? Hahahaha! Have you heard such stupidness?" The first kid stepped forward, he now were close to Sephiroth. "Are you? Are you insane?"

Sephioth took a step backwards.
"Off course you are. Allwayd hurting some one or making trendenmeous stupid things, like climbing the pillar."

In that second, the boomerang-shaped object hit the rope. The rope came in unbalance, and started to fall down.

"Look out!" Sephiroth shouted and ran backwards.
"Look out for what?" The kid didnt have to ask, because the next thing happaned, was the rope landing on him.

"Yes! Hooray! I got it down!" Sephiroth started to jump around, dancing of joy.

The two other kids moved closer.
"Hey, what did you do to Billy? Hey, Billy! Wake up!"

As "Billy" slowly opened his eyes. He saw his friends stand bowed over him, and the rope dingeling just over his head.
"What...what...happened?" he saw Sephiroth, that had stoped dancing. "You! Youre gonna get youre ass kicked. Justwait." He raised, but Sephiroth were quicker. "Come and get me!" He jumped up ijn the air, and grabbed the rope With high speed, he started to climb.

"Oh, yeah? Thats what you think." Billy said, and grabbed the end of the rope. He styarted to shake it, and Sephiroth started to swing.

"What are you doing, you dumb-nut! I can fall down!"

Bily laughed. "Oh really! I dont think so!" He started to pull even harder, and the other two werent soon to help him. Sephiroth continued to climb upwards, and soon, he reached the top of the pillar. He wawed to Billy and his friends, then started to throw big bags of cement that someone had throwed on the ground at Billy and his gang. They screamed and ran away. Sephiroth smiled, and turned around. There was the Upper Level. The new Midgar.
